In January, I asked for an accounting of the seized guns in McLennan County from the Sheriff’s department. These guns, from cases that are already disposed of, are supposed to be destroyed at Lipshitz. They haven’t been. EVER.
Where are these guns? They were going to give them to me for 1,600 dollars, they thought that would stop me but it didn’t.
Now they are fighting me with the AG’s office for guns that should have been shredded a long time ago.
Ever go to the Sheriff’s office to take a tour of his “gun collection”?
Something is wrong here, below are the case numbers of the guns and the bullshit I’ve gone through trying to get the information.
Are the deputies and the Sheriff’s in possession of these guns?
Why won’t they tell me……AND YOU what they’ve done.
Something is very, very wrong here.
Demand an accounting of this bullshit.

I received a call from MuckRock News asking for an update on this request,
so I am writing to notify you that we have sent off for an AG’s opinion on
this request and we are waiting on their response before continuing to
process the cases. Depending on what the AG decides, the cost of the request
could drastically be reduced. We mailed out a copy of the AG’s request

Called and spoke with a representative in the records office. We were informed that cases requested were sent to the Attorney General. The agency is waiting on the ruling of the attorney general on what information can be sent. The ruling will determine how much the bill will be. In short, due to the volume of cases being requested, the agency is unable to accurately bill.

Regarding their AG Opinion, these case numbers are in response to a previous Request under my account dated 01/02/2022 requesting the evidence lock disposal logs. WE got the logs 1st with out case numbers, then after follow up we got the logs with case numbers, the case numbers that are referenced that we are wanting reports on involve MONEY Destructions and Firearm/Gun Destructions, which all have to be done in accordance with State Law and a court order rather than just dispose of the items. We think this is a major breaking issue that they had no idea was fixing to be exposed, any help with this request will be greatly appriciated. Futhermore, I am not sure how they can ask for an AG Opinion when they had already stated they would release the records for X amount of dollars which we were willing able and ready to pay for.
