What integrity?
Sherre Johnston has nothing to do with this story, I am merely putting her picture up here with Josh because it makes them mad.

Three strikes and YOU’RE………………
Protected by Josh Tetens?
Strike One: Parnell’s elite Cold Case Unit actually pins the blame on someone still alive and makes an arrest. This marks a departure from their usual approach of blaming crimes on dead people. Parnell holds a press conference and takes a victory lap for his achievements.
Oops, turns out they “forgot” to test the DNA under the victim’s fingernails. Instead, they relied on people’s memory of an event that happened over a decade ago. The DNA exonerated the “scumbag” who “committed” the crime.
Strike Two: One of Parnell’s deputies pulls a car over for a defective license plate light. He then searches the car and arrests a drug dealer for possession with intent to distribute.
Oops, turns out the “defective” lights are quite clearly working on that deputy’s dash cam. Kristi DeCluitt (a prosecutor for the DA Office) is quoted as saying she won’t put a liar on the stand.
Strike Three: Investigator Russell arrests a man for online threats and exploitation of a minor. The man is fired from his career and now waits tables. Parnell holds a press conference and takes a victory lap for his achievements.
Oops, turns out that an actual investigation revealed that they’d arrested an innocent man. Arrested in Utah, extradited to Texas, and ruined his life. The actual suspect lives in Canada and this information should have been known to the investigator. Fortunately the innocent man was able to hire an attorney out of Dallas who employed a former Bellmead Police officer to assist. A former Bellmead officer with a fraction of the resources available to Parnell’s “elite” investigators was able to fix what Parnell’s boys did.
So three strikes and you’re out right? Wrong. In the case of Parnell and Josh Tetens, nothing at all. Yeah, there are some lawsuits and a truckload of tax payer money is going to be paid out. But actual consequences to the people involved, nada. By the time the lawsuits come around, Parnell will be retired and “suddenly” has advanced dementia. Kinda like Joe Biden with a cowboy hat.
So what happens to the lying deputy and the careless investigators? Nothing. They aren’t even put on the Brady list.
If Tetens had a shred of integrity and tried to honor his oath of office, he’d dig into this. He’d also thoroughly examine ANY and EVERY case brought forth by the Sheriff Office. I mean, if they wrongfully accused/arrested three people THAT WE KNOW OF, how many more are out there?
Instead, his pompous ass talks about how this is exactly how the system is supposed to work.
Or maybe I’m the asshole by pretending the system actually cares about justice and cops don’t act with malicious intent?
