This guy is completely innocent. He got arrested for a crime he had nothing to do with. “America’s Sheriff” got to hold a press conference talking about how he put this scumbag predator POS behind bars.
The ONLY reason that this guy’s charges got dismissed is that he was able to hire an attorney OUTSIDE of McLennan County who conducted an actual investigation into the crime. Even then, he lost a job he’d worked at for ten years and now waits tables.
Sure, he’s now suing the county and going to get a nice settlement, especially considering that the county has to settle since they can’t let Parnell or his minions testify under oath in a deposition. Well, unless the county attorney wants to see them repeatedly plead the fifth under oath.
