FED UP WITH THE CORRUPTION IN THE MCLENNAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT!

Citizens have known for over a year that Sheriff Parnell McNamara was breaking the law.

If citizens knew, then the majority of County Employees knew, including employees and management within the Sheriff’s Department, including the County Judge, County Commissioners, County Manager, etc. 

No wonder there was panic, and the mass departure of County Sheriff’s employees.  Who would want to be charged with potential crimes – you all knew how the Sheriff was illegally operating – and you ALL sat back and did NOTHING!  You didn’t uphold your oaths and fiduciary responsibilities to County citizens to EXPOSE and STOP CORRUPTION.  Thus, y’all are complicit in the Sheriff’s crimes.

Citizens deserve and NEED new, NON-CORRUPT leadership in the Sheriff’s Department.  Once Parnell is charged with crimes, citizens DEMAND an Interim Sheriff to clean up the mess that Parnell created in his final years.  The Interim Sheriff CANNOT be Cody Blossman because he is complicit in allowing the Sheriff to continue to commit crimes.  Cody Blossman, or anyone currently employed in the Sheriff’s Department, is not fit to hold the office of the McLennan County Sheriff.

Start searching for an Interim Sheriff.  Could Larry Lynch be invited back for a year to start restoring the Sheriff’s Department?  If not Lynch, there has to be another non-corrupt law enforcement person in Texas who could start the restoration process desperately needed in the County Sheriff’s Department.

Parnell McNamara CHOOSE to sneak in a County Employee to work at his personal residence for three years.  No one made Parnell do this. You can’t blame Charlotte or his opposition for Parnell’s actions.  Parnell McNamara alone took the oath, which he didn’t uphold:

“I, Parnell McNamara, do solemnly swear, that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of Sheriff of Mc Lennan County, of the State of Texas, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and this State, so help me God.”

Also, citizens of McLennan County gave the Sheriff a $200,000 bonus – TAX FREE!  I see potential IRS audits in the future.  The County Manager and Accountant under reported Parnell’s wages to the IRS for three years!  Potential audits in the County’s future too?

Now the County Employee, who the Sheriff manipulated to work at his ranch for three years, was injured multiple times.  This is a potential injury lawsuit in the making.  What if this previous County Employee ends up disabled or blind from the Sheriff’s ranch injury?  He could potentially sue the County for injuries. 

The beginning and ending of the Sheriff’s tenure has been a litigation nightmare.  The sooner he’s out of office, the less risk to the County and the citizens of McLennan County.

All I want for Christmas is for corruption in local, state, and federal governments to be exposed and remedied.

Hiring an Interim Sheriff will be the best New Year’s Gift for McLennan County citizens.
