In April 1985 all hell broke loose as Henry Lee Lucas was removed from the influence of the Texas Rangers and taken before a Grand Jury assembled in McLennan County (Waco, TX). As Lucas started recanting on his confessions the powers that be started looking for ways to quash what Vic was doing to get the truth exposed.
