Wasting taxpayer dollars one vehicle at a time. Under the leadership and direction of Parnell McNamara, the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office has grown over 6 million dollars in just 4 years. This includes newly created positions to fund Cody Blossman’s full time SWAT team that’s been hidden in the form of CIU, FAST, OCU and now the training division. How do we get these positions? David Ives word salads that he presents to hungry commissioners with the best salad dressing of all, it’s mandatory by the state.
Yep, all David Ives has to do is say “It’s required by the state” and Commissioners cough up your tax dollars like it’s nothing. Jail Lieutenant’s, Jail Investigators and others hidden at the jail in secret units all with TAKE HOME CARS and SUV’s… all who never respond to calls or callouts but yet we fund them just to “drive to work each day”. Under the Lynch Administration, the jail had one take home vehicle, Captain Johnny Mynar, all others drove their vehicles to work like the rest of us and had a car parked there if you needed to use it for county business…Not under McNamara. He doesn’t care about your tax dollars he’s spending. Conservative Republicans??? My ASS. 2 Captains under Larry Lynch but 6 under Parnell McNamara? We’ve let this moron with no experience ruin the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office.
All these extra “units” while the actual CID Detectives are swimming in cases. These bastards wouldn’t know how to organize a department if the diagram was sitting in front of them in plain site! It’s time for a complete overhaul of the system. It’s time to stand up to these money mongrels and stop the spending spree we’ve let them have. Take home cars for training division? Take home cars for personnel division? Take home cars for Jail Lieutenants? Why oh why are we allowing this type of behavior? Why aren’t our county commissioners holding these leaders accountable? Why do add staff members to our training division yet ask for more money to send our deputies to other counties for training? So we ask to build our training staff and then ask to increase the training budget so we can send them off to training? What in the hell is going on at the MCSO that this is being allowed to happen?
Walt Strickland going in to the commissioners court and telling them to “Get the money now”? He’s a conservative Republican ? Better start asking ourselves what a conservative Republican actually is? I can’t believe we are allowing this right here in central Texas. The McLennan County Commissioner’s need to wake up and put a stop to this nonsense immediately. Don’t let Parnell and Jake Burson continue to pull the wool over your eyes.. Jake Burson and Brandy Burson’s complete takeover of the SO is so far being a failure. Charlotte seemed to know how to run it better than Brandy. It’s time to wake up and smell the odor coming from the MCSO starting with David Ives, Jake Burson, Brandy Burson and sadly, Shawn Nixon who seems to now be in the loop after being banished for several years. Come on Shawn, you know you don’t need all those expensive vehicles to play around in. Exposing these leaders is what must happen next. Thank you Harry for allowing us to be somewhat of a voice and share our message. Oh, let’s also count something else with Larry Lynch , 12 years at Sheriff and only 1 chief deputy. Parnell has just hit his 12 year mark and we’ve had
