I don’t know this woman, but last night I actually surprised myself and prayed for her. Watching someone live the same chapter on repeat is exhausting.
One day they’re all dolled up, flirting with authority like it’s a personality trait… and a few bad decisions later, reality hits hard and fast. The unfiltered mugshot photo of a woman that has lived fast and hard appears. Not, a pretty picture of a loving mom and grandmother she claims to be.
This woman claims to be a worshiper of God. In reality she has/had an identity crisis of wanting to be worshiped herself by hoping to catch and be married to a higher up law man to bring more attention to herself. News flash…..You wait for a man to bring status to you that you are so longing for, honey you going get screwed over and you have. Use your brains and bring your own importance and people will respect you a hell a lot more.
Seven DWIs isn’t “bad luck.” It’s a pattern. And chasing men with badges instead of accountability isn’t a redemption arc—it’s self-sabotage with better lighting. A hobby that needs replacing.
Maybe it’s time to retire the badge bunny era. Heck, try being a buckle bunny if you must—but better yet, try being someone who actually shows up for herself.
Too bad her ex husbands Fire Chief badge wasn’t enough for her. Imagine what that pension check looks like. I hope that poor guy doesn’t have to half it with her.
How many women would give anything if their spouse gave them what hers gave her. A family, home and financial security. She threw it all away and for what. To have man flaunt over her and make her feel worshipped. Guess what, time takes care of beauty and men regardless of age move on to the younger best next thing. Take a long hard look at your mug shot photo of what you have become.
At some point, being attractive to men has to take a back seat to being accountable to yourself and to the people who keep getting dragged through the chaos. Consequences don’t care how cute you looked last weekend.
Sometimes, you have to look yourself in the mirror and say ‘yep, I have an addition problem, but it is not going to define me. It ends to today’. Move to another town and stop dragging the trash can of excuses for why you are broken around. Growth starts when denial and excuses end.
