McLennan County is burning through YOUR tax dollars. They’re hiring recruiters, spending thousands to train employees, and then watching them leave because of the corrupt and toxic administration. That’s not a staffing issue—it’s a leadership disaster.
Now “King” Felton wants to raise your property taxes by $91 a year. Why? To hand out raises and pretend it’ll fix the mess at the jail and sheriff’s office. But money won’t keep employees when the very people in charge are the reason nobody wants to stay.
And let’s be real—Felton doesn’t care. He’s on his way out and already working behind the scenes to slide his son into power. That’s not leadership, that’s straight-up nepotism and cronyism. Same old good-ol’-boy network, just passing the crown to the next family member.
Quit insulting taxpayers by comparing Waco to Dallas or Houston. Our cost of living isn’t anywhere close. Stop lying to cover up failure.
This whole tax hike is nothing more than a bailout for Felton, #ParnellMcNamara, and #CodyBlossman—trying to paper over years of incompetence. McLennan County doesn’t have a staffing problem. It has a leadership problem. Until you get rid of the corrupt clowns at the top, you could pay deputies six figures and they’d still walk.
