Reader 2: Scarmucci’s trophy arrest. Hall of fame Pic! There’s the commercial. Ominous music, a child at Felipe’s dunking booth and then the deep voice 115 arrest only 8 convictions. Parnell McNamera’s incompetance has left 97 pedophiles running around your neighborhood.

I see the numbers & no they don’t lie. My question is who’s to blame for the numbers not lining up? In other words the convictions do not match the charged with (obviously) is that the SO or the DA? Are these people being charged with crimes they didnt commit? Or are the charges being reduced/dropped & these folks being turned back out because The DA’s office didnt want to fool with it?
This is a legit question.

Here’s my quickie answer.

If the arresting department does not present a legitimate case to the DA to present to a Grand Jury then it falls back on the arresting department. The DA has to prove to a Grand Jury that “it” happened. They do that with the information provided by the arresting department. Just like the DA’s office has NO control over when a case is set for trial (ANOTHER Parnell lie)

If the charges are reduced it is usually because the original charge did not line up with the information recieved from the arresting agency

Final remark it always starts with the arresting agency if they coerce or entrap then NO go that is on any charge.
