YOUR SHERIFF FOR LIFE is raising money almost a year early, the Primary is NEXT YEAR and anyone runing against ole Par doesn’t even have to announce until November. RUNNING UNOPPOSED so far needs money, so his cousin rides in to save the day.

Writer-director behind ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Hell or High Water’ holding fundraiser in Waco for Sheriff McNamara

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – The writer-director behind some of the biggest hits on television is visiting Waco to help his cousin’s bid for reelection.

Taylor Sheridan, who wrote the screenplays for the films “Sicario” and “Hell or Highwater” and created the hit Paramount series “Yellowstone” and its spinoffs, is having a fundraising party for his cousin, McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara.

Sheriff McNamara said Taylor suggested the party after he announced he was running for re-election.

“It’s going to be a relaxed atmosphere with dinner, dancing, and live music. Taylor will be the guest speaker. I’m just honored that he would take the time to do this.” said McNamara, who has been Sheriff of McLennan County for 10 years.

The event is by invitation only. “I really wish we could invite everyone, but we are already expecting a big crowd, so we had to make it invitation only,” the sheriff said.

McNamara and Sheridan spent a lot of time together before his screenplay writing career took off.

“We get together when we can. I’m really looking forward to seeing him and his wife. This will be a good time,” the sheriff said.

The party will be held at Turner Ranch in Waco on Friday evening and some of the cast members of “Yellowstone” will be attending as well.

McNamara says Sheridan’s visit to Central Texas will be brief, though.

“He’s attending the Cowboy Hall of Fame event on Thursday, my event on Friday, and he is hosting another event in Fort Worth on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., so it will be a quick trip,” McNamara said.

  1. My only issue with this is the pictures of border patrol. If you ride horses, then you know that the reins are long. For several reasons. It is clear in the photographs that the agent is Not using the reins on the illegal. The horse and rider are in quick action to catch the perpetrator, but reins are not used to capture. It’s also clear that the agent has grabbed the illegal by the shirt- the rein is flapping. It is impossible to be whipping- as accused- with the rein when the rider has used the his hand to grab his shirt. These agents were fully cleared of any wrong doing and the photographer also came to their defense. I can usually agree with most everything, except this. Being a proud horse owner, and rider, I can see the action in the pictures vs someone one who may not be.
Back to the fundraiser- should be a most interesting evening. Glad I’m out of town at my own ranch!

    1. It’s not about the agents, I know they were cleared, it’s about the visual. I also take offense at the “This is Texas if you dont like it leave it”. Just because seeing hopping black people in this picture is offensive to me, doesn’t mean I need to move from a State I was born in. Also, not all Texans are white. I “get it” that you know reins and horses, but the hopping people disturbs me as a human being. Thanks for reading. I am not chastizing you. I just don’t think this picture helps a thing. It’s about the hopping people, not the men, not the horses, not the reins.

  2. The fact that this is a private party speaks volumes.

I compare Par to Biden, he’s just a puppet with an empty suit, someone else is pulling the strings.

We shall see the outcome, do you expect any local news to expose the corruption? Don’t hold your breath, I still think we Wayne Dolcefino on the case.
