VICE REPORTS ON SWEDEN’S HERD IMMUNITY DECISION
You talk about some tough mfk*s, the Swedes are tough….tough, just like that guy “The Swede” on HELL ON WHEELS. They are pretty pragmatic about stuff including something that came out BEFORE the pandemic which is a book called Swedish Death Cleaning, a guide to getting rid of your junk before you die and your family doesn’t have to do it for you. Shiver. NO, I have not read it, but with over 5,600 Swedes dying from Covid or Covid related illnesses, including just plain old age, half of the dead are in Nursing homes, I am sure many Swedes have.
We all seem to be lab rats with the fat, old, pre existing condition lab rats in pretty deep doo of not making it through this thing.
Death Panels. Well, Sweden is pretty much past that, in one interview a daughter of an 80 year old man with Covid in a Swedish nursing facility said that her dad was diagnosed with Covid 19, not taken to a hospital and given only morphine, he died within three days. Hmmm. Holland has had Death Panels for years, but then again, their doctors are used to sitting with dying patients, ours, yes, ours, just started that. How many doctors have been at the bedside of your friends or family when they passed? In my lifetime, none. A job left for nurses, before Covid 19 our doctors lived a pretty pristine existence. Not anymore.
What am I saying? I am saying I don’t know. I am saying I am reading and gathering information and cannot wait until about 2030 if I’m around for the National Geographic Documentary or the facts on VICE one night in the far future.
I miss my friends who suffered lifelong signs of polio. My BFF for 40 years, Rosalie Hill, whose little withered hand and scarred lungs were living examples of a terrible pandemic. Her husband, Tommy, dragged a withered leg and bought one shoe for a small foot from polio. The polio people are gone, there are no living signs of the fear and hell and helplessness that our parents woke up to in the 50’s.
The beloved Judge Bobby Thomas, a football star in Marlin in the day, confined to a wheelchair, ravaged by polio yet everywhere with the personality of ten. We don’t have him today to warn us of diseases that played “spin the bottle” with our body parts.
One thing’s for sure, we live in a secretive world of great corruption, we live in a world where truly people who are too old are governing us. We are leaving a mess for the young, let’s hope they see it and vote how ever they feel but VOTE.
