I have to say that in my opinion and from what I have investigated with the Harry Blog, 8 liners and gambling pretty much rule this City. Big money, destroyed lives, you gotta love 8 liners across from the VA. My personal favorite.
Gambling, well, gambling scares me. Parnell doesn’t. Gambling does. Big time. There are times when I am reduced by some unwelcome surprise to become 9, Catholic, and personally responsible for the suffering of Christ, Station of the Cross #7 where I spent 12 years.
Gambling, porn, Trump on AI as Pope, any other out there sacrilege in the future, I know it when I see it.
I don’t have all the answers. Probably none of them when it comes to addiction. If you know me, you know my story, addiction, hey, I lost that one. I’m tired and have no advice but, like the Federal definition of “pornography”, I know it when I see it.

Not Every Texan cares, nor wants, gambling in Texas. It brings addiction of every kind to the forefront. I don’t want more of my tax dollars going towards their addiction care, either. Not my problem. Gambling brings trash; people with money often do not stay local to gamble. Filthy streets, sidewalks, buns and more is all I see in gambling towns. Porn being distributed on sidewalks to kids, drugs being sold in open air. Wow- sounds appealing- Not.
Our ports will be trashed by the overflow of gambling cruise ships and our beaches will cease to being family friendly.
No, keep the trash away. We have enough to deal with without adding to taking care of just more poor choices of addicts. It’s OK to have that fun elsewhere, and come home to peace and quiet from that loud, stinky atmosphere.
