I just read an article about a Temple police officer that is being investigated for an officer involved shooting. It appears the thing that will clear this officer is his BODY CAM!! Yes, that is right his BODY CAM! Where are McLennan Counties BODY CAMS? I could swear a year ago McLennan County was getting body cams where are they? I guess Cody Blossman followed in daddy Parnell’s footsteps and forgot about them… I mean after all body cams not only protect the innocent, but they also convict the guilty! Parnell and Cody must think alike can not have the good people of McLennan County knowing what they have our officers doing now can we. I mean after all it is their word against the officers now, isn’t it? Seems that Parnell and Cody Blossman do not want the truth to come out about how they treat the employees or make them swear to sacrifice their first born to Parnell and Cody if you want to rise in rank at the Sheriff Department. How Parnell and Cody cross that line between legal and illegal… NOPE can’t have BODY CAMS in McLennan County that would point a finger right back at the lack of administration in the Sheriff Department. When will someone anyone do the right thing? Protect the employees from the insanity at the jail and the Sheriff Department??? Sooner than later, I hope before we have NO experienced employees left. I say we have a BLUE FLU outbreak……. The jail is UNDERSTAFFED, and the employees are overworked Harry can you see how much we are paying in overtime? Isn’t it funny how every single person that tells a different story from Parnell and Cody are LIARS? I mean a whole department can NOT be LIARS…WAKE UP McLennan County!

A few of the deputies are running body cams, no one knows exactly who.
Anyway we will get a raise, but we are stuck with using old equipment, and yes shorthanded is an understatement.
