READER ANSWERS STAN MASON ABOUT HOMELESS
Soybean
I agree Stan. The issue is the County and State make money off the mentally ill, homeless, and people that find themselves in the revolving door of the criminal justice system. I mean the McLennan County DA just cut a nice check to Waco PD for devices to download event data recorders in vehicles. Ever wonder why the DA doesn’t invest in East Waco? It is a cash cow. Yet here is another thought, State and Federal grants for law enforcement and the DA Office to fund positions are creating dangerous situations for citizens. Stan I have the upmost respect for you and Waco lost a good one when they screwed you.
Thank you for your insight. Your absolutely right. During my 25 years there I was social, but I remained focused on what I considered “THE LEAST”. The ones who were either too dark or poor enough to remind the “Favored” ones that they would be like them. There are a lot of good and decent people in Waco but unfortunately, they have to always fight against people (who often times look like them) to get the right things done. Some of the people that the middle class and low-income people trust are so glad to be invited to the Big Wig table at events that they don’t even recognize that they are the main course.
