Dear Harry,
I have been reading your reader rants and something I overheard at the hospital jumped out at me. There was a very upset young lady that I saw and overheard she was visibly shaken, and you could tell at some point had been crying, I wrote her name down at the time, but I prefer not to put it out here.
I will be more than happy to provide to you if you think it will be beneficial to what I am reading. This very distraught young lady was venting about her “husband” and what all had happened with his job at McLennan County Sheriff Department. Be mindful that this conversation was not directed at me but someone else. She talked about being worried because he had worked at the “Ranch” for Parnell and Charlotte McNamara for years but was caught leaving there drinking by a deputy he did not know and it blowing up on your blog because of a video? And that they let him resign but he had since been drinking a lot and his mental health was not good, and she was worried that they could be in trouble because they didn’t tell anyone but family and department personal that he was working out there and not patrolling he was exclusively Parnell’s ranch hand.
My heart broke for this young lady I had no idea that this was criminal until I read some of the information on your blog. How can all these elected officials like Josh Tetens, and personnel that knew about this let it go and my gosh who do you turn the sheriff into?
We pay the County employees to patrol the streets not cut wood and feed livestock and shred. That seems to me to be a very high paid ranch hand. I am sure when this all comes out a lot of people’s lives will be ruined. So much corruption in our government.
