FROM THE JAIL STANDARDS COMMISSION
The Texas Commission on Jail Standards received your public information request for:
Letters to Sheriff Parnell McNamara informing him of complaint signed by (Harry) The outcome of that Complaint against McLennan County, and copy of the appeal filed by McLennan County after the jail was put on the non-compliance list then removed for the appeal.
Please find attached a copy of the letters sent to Sheriff Parnell McNamara, the notice of non-compliance that was removed, and a copy of the appeal filed by McLennan County.
As of today, 1/4/2024, The Commission is still reviewing McLennan County’s Appeal and the complaint in question.
Thus, the outcome of the complaint is still undetermined. Once The Commission’s review of the appeal and complaint is complete, you will receive a letter from The Commission notifying you of the outcome.
