If you are teaching in West, Oglesby, McGregor, or anywhere “in the county” you have that familiar deputy there from the Sheriff’s Office you love.
He has no body cam.
HE won’t tell you but he wants one. How do you think I found out they don’t have them?
Parnell McNamara has patrol deputies “trying out body cams now”, but not in the schools.
You’re a teacher. You’ve been teaching for, let’s say 10 years, how about 30?
Are you ready to risk your life and that of the deputy and the kids and have this deputy with NO BODY CAMERA? Because of a Sheriff who doesn’t want a recorded record of his girlfriends and cronies getting favors or asking for them?
In West, are you willing to say “It won’t happen here”?
After all WE ALL HAVE BEEN THROUGH, Davidians, Fertilizer Plant blow ups, Twin Peaks, are you willing to vote for Parnell McNamara and say, it can’t happen here?
Please think about it.

This is the most important race of your life and that of the kids you teach and the deputy who wants a bodycam but can’t say a thing.
Your Sheriff can’t even post a RECENT picture of himself because he doesn’t want you to know he’s an old man, with old man ideas, and some real old man morals.
