Jul 30, 2015 — The former co-owner of two downtown Waco dining and drinking establishments has been indicted on felony theft charges after he reportedly .

Wolf invested in Muddle and Kuma; Priest bought Muddle from Dyer and his partner, Seth Sutton; and Shelton is a former Kuma manager, Sutton said. Sutton said Thursday he doesn’t know Silva, and his involvement in the case is not specified in court documents.

Sutton declined additional comment.Top ArticlesToday in history: July 5READ MOREWaco neighbors: Obituaries for July 5Celebrity Birthdays: July 5The science of laughter and why it's good for usThe Netflix trending list is an algorithmic mysteryToday in history:July 5https://imasdk.googleapis.com/js/core/bridge3.470.1_en.html#goog_893664689https://imasdk.googleapis.com/js/core/bridge3.470.1_en.html#goog_1699080846https://imasdk.googleapis.com/js/core/bridge3.470.1_en.html#goog_1748644373Today in history: July 5

Dyer bought out Sutton’s interest in Kuma, located in the former Treff’s Bar & Grill location, in February after Sutton, an attorney, said his busy practice and family life were becoming too much for him.

Dyer vowed to keep the business open and announced plans to changethe “concept” for the upstairs nightclub from a DJ-driven dance club with go-go dancers in cages and strobe lights and fog machines.

But three months later, Waco businessman Robert Johnson, who owns the building, shut Dyer down for good after Dyer missed an April lease payment of $7,700.

Dyer and Sutton opened Muddle in the 700 block of Austin Avenue in 2014 but sold their interests in the bar to Priest in April. 0 comments
