This is Paul Schrivner, he got a DWI and had an accident, OH, but he’s a cop, wonder if they’ll help him get a “Diversionary Program” and keep his job.

A former Waco police officer arrested on a drunken driving charge in July can keep his law enforcement certification and have the charge dismissed after completing a two-year pretrial intervention program.
WACO, Texas (KWTX) Waco police Officer Paul Scrivner, 29, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor, after an accident Saturday evening at Bosque Boulevard and the West Highway 6 access road.
No one was injured in the accident, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Monday.
“As well as the ongoing criminal investigation, Waco Police Department’s Professional Conduct and Standards Unit will conduct a separate investigation into the officer’s conduct,” Swanton said.
Scrivner has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, he said.
Scrivner was handcuffed and arrested at the scene of the accident and then fell asleep in the backseat of a patrol car, according to probable cause affidavit released Monday.
According to the affidavit, “there was a very strong odor of alcohol coming from the backseat area where he was sitting.”
After taking a moment to wake him up, I noticed his speech was very slurred and he had bloodshot and glassy eyes,” the arresting officer said in the affidavit.
Scrivner, who refused a field sobriety test, was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center to be checked out, the affidavit says.
At the hospital he also refused to agree to a breath test or a blood draw, so officers obtained a warrant for a blood test.
Scrivner was then taken to the McLennan County Jail.
He was later released after posting bond.
